My cat Aries had an accident last summer that left his leg paralyzed. He

he has bent his paw inward and is walking on his wrist. l took him to the

vet and the vet told me to get a sock, put gray tape on the inside and

that would help the friction on his wrist. But it made it worse! Now he

has a open wound that I've done everything from liquid bandage for cats,
to regular bandaids, to leaving the wound open putting peroxide on it, to
cloth mesh with panty hose to try to close the wound up. Nothing works. l
do not want it to get infected but l do not know what else to do. And he
can not feel it to know that its open. l will take him to another vet, but
any ideas until l am free from work to take him? (to check out photos

Talk to your new vet and ask for cat is anti-biotic. For the

open wound, it is better to let it in dry condition (but not too dry).

Give your cat a good diet and LOVE (very very important as it shortens

Also, you might want to discuss amputation of the leg with the vet. It

might seem harsh, but a almost non-functioning leg is almost worst than a

fully non-functioning leg for the exact reason you described. Cats do
just find on three legs an usually don't even realize they are missing
one.
