Best way to attach wire to brick or cinderblock
My husband and l were at a friends the other night when a rat ran across
the floor.We discovered it went into a small hole that leads outside from
the back of a closet.We all screamed and when it had calmed down she
showed us a couple more holes where they might be coming in.We decided to
try to take care of the problem for her while she was at work.Today we are
planning on buying rat traps, mowing her yard, and putting wire mesh across
the openings from the outside of the house to prevent anymore from coming in. What is the best way to attach wire to bricks or cinderblock?? Should l use liquid nail, or some sort of tape?We do not have any power tools unfortunately.. Also- there is a small hole in the ceiling of the house, could rats come in that way?And should we put any poison around- she has 2 small kids.. Thanks in advance
depending on the size of holes-big holes-need to drill hole in
brick and use anchors and screws to hold wire or fill in with concrete
patch or spray insulation styrofoam(fastest quickest way).Use traps-
poison ok be careful where you put to keep kids out of reach and if rat
dies it will smell in house
They sell mortar fix in a caulk style tube, you could use that,
as far as poison, I would leave that to the professionals..especially with
kids involved.
